Description

Having digital skills means being able to interact with the online services that are essential for modern life such as online shopping, searching for information, job hunting etc.

This free course is the first step to learning how to use a computer or smartphone to access the digital world.
Topics will include:
- Using a mouse and keyboard to control a computer
- Searching the internet using a computer or smart phone
- Carrying out transactions on the internet
- Sending and receiving emails

This course is suitable for complete beginners to computers or smartphones or those with low digital skills wanting to gain more confidence.

This is a classroom based course at the Kentwood Centre.
You will use the computers in the classroom (no need to bring your own). You can bring your Smartphone if you choose. If you do not have a smartphone you will not be provided with one but you will still be able to fully engage in the course using the computer provided instead.

This course is offered free of charge. Enrolment can be done online using the button below, over the phone or by dropping into one of the centres.
