Description

This drawing and painting course is for intermediate to more advanced learners and as a follow on from other drawing and painting courses and/or existing skills. We will be covering all aspects of drawing using pencils and charcoal; and an introduction/follow on to painting. Learners will build on their existing skills. Learners should be able to supply their own pencils/paper/paints etc (a list of basic equipment is listed below, plus the tutor can provide a more detailed list during the first lesson if required). The cost of materials is not included in the cost of the course. Please read the full description in ''More details'' below before completing your enrolment.

If you would like to improve your drawing and painting skills, this is a course for you. You will follow a programme of exercices closely monitored by Tutor, benefiting from the expertise and experience. You will progress to become more confident in your work.

Can I join late?
Yes, with Tutor agreement.

Who is the course for?
This course is for anyone who has an interest in drawing and painting at an intermediate to more experienced level.

Do I need prior knowledge or experience?
Some previous drawing or painting skills would be an advantage.

How will I learn?
A practical course with a mixture of one to one and small group tuition, demonstration, discussion and questions and answers.

How will my progress be assessed?
You will be assessed informally by your tutor, as part of normal classroom activities. There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor.

Is there an external qualification?
No, this is an non-accredited course.

What can I do next?
You can continue with other Drawing and Painting courses.

What do I need to bring?
Please bring any painting and drawing tools, paints and paper you may have. Wear old clothes or bring an overall.

Are there any extra costs?
Yes, the cost of drawing and painting tools, paints and paper is not included in the cost of the course. Essential equipment to begin classes: Selection of sketching pencils Rubber Pencil Sharpener Blending Sticks Cartridge sketchbook A4 or A3 Painting equipment will be discussed during the lesson.

Is there work between sessions?
To fully benefit from the course it is advisable to practise learnt skills between sessions and/or work on your own project.
