Taichi for Health - Beginners

Visual of the course

Description

An introduction to Yang style Tai Chi designed for beginners who want to improve their health and wellbeing. In this gentle and accessible class, you'll learn flowing, easy-to-follow movements that help improve balance, coordination, and posture. Tai Chi is also known for reducing stress and promoting relaxation by calming the nervous system and encouraging mindfulness. No experience is needed, just wear comfortable clothing and come ready to move at your own pace.

More information
We will be learning Yang-style Taichi. Yang-style Taichi uses a higher stance and slower, gentler movement without quick, explosive movements like jumps, kicks and strikes. Because the movement of Yang style Taichi is slow, continuous, circular and spiralling, it's relatively easier to learn, and it's good for improving body & mind connection, awareness, coordination and balance. And it's also safe for those recovering from injury.
