Taichi for Health - Improvers

Visual of the course

Description

Build on your foundational knowledge of Yang style Tai Chi in this improvers class, designed to deepen your practice and enhance your health and wellbeing. You'll refine your understanding of the flowing, meditative movements, focusing on improving balance, coordination, and posture while increasing your flexibility and strength. This class also offers a chance to explore more advanced techniques, deepening your mindfulness and calming your nervous system. Previous Tai Chi experience is recommended, but all levels of improvers are welcome to further develop their skills at a comfortable pace.

More information
We will be learning Yang-style Taichi. Yang-style Taichi uses a higher stance and slower, gentler movement without quick, explosive movements like jumps, kicks and strikes. Because the movement of Yang style Taichi is slow, continuous, circular and spiralling, it's relatively easier to learn, and it's good for improving body & mind connection, awareness, coordination and balance. And it's also safe for those recovering from injury.
