*NEW* Drawing & Painting - Watercolour, Pens & Pencils

Visual of the course

Description

This is a welcoming and practical course designed for beginners who want to explore drawing and painting in a relaxed, supportive environment. You'll be introduced to a range of techniques using watercolour paints, pencils, and pen (ink), learning how to build up washes, mix colours, use brushwork effectively, and add expressive line work. Along the way, you'll discover how to use visual elements like line, tone, colour, and texture to create images that tell a story or express an idea.

The course includes a mix of step-by-step tutor demonstrations and guided projects, as well as the chance to develop your own ideas through simple creative briefs. Through these themed mini projects, you'll experiment with a variety of subjects, from landscapes and still life to abstract work and illustrative studies such as botanical drawings, character sketches, and even packaging illustration. Whether you're completely new to art or looking to build your confidence, this course will help you enjoy the process and begin developing your own personal style.
