Learn how to take better photographs on any device. Recognise and use the main features on your digital camera to improve your images, such as zoom and flash, as well as learning different composition techniques and photography fundamentals in ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture.

Can I join late?
Yes, only up to 2nd week of course with agreement of tutor.

Who is the course for?
This course is for anyone who has an interest in learning how to take and edit photographs. This course is suitable for beginners or those with previous experience who need to brush up on their skills.

Do I need prior knowledge or experience?
No, this is a beginners level course.

How will I learn?
This is a practical course. Tutor demonstration, one to one and group tutorial, questions and answers, discussion and observation.

How will my progress be assessed?
There will be ongoing informal assessment by the tutor throughout the course and you will receive regular feedback on your progress throughout the course.

Is there an external qualification?
No, this is an non-accredited course

What can I do next?
Other photography courses at BAEC or elsewhere, including qualification courses.

What do I need to bring?
Digital Camera or mobile phone capable of taking photographs, note book and pen.

Are there any extra costs?
You will need to provide your own camera. Tutor will advise at first session. The cost of printing photographs is not included in the course fee.

Is there work between sessions?
In order to fully benefit from this course, it is advisable to practise the skills learnt between sessions.
