Visual of the course

Description

This course is designed for experienced learners seeking an immersive, studio-based opportunity to work alongside a practising artist. You will critically explore the realities of professional artistic practice while extending your technical and conceptual skills across a range of media, including pencil, oils, watercolour, charcoal and acrylics. Emphasis is placed on experimentation, material investigation and refining individual approaches.

Through structured, tutor-led studio sessions, you will deepen your observational practice, challenge established ways of working, and develop a more confident and coherent body of work. Individual guidance will support you in pushing your creative boundaries and articulating your artistic intentions.

The course includes a gallery visit, offering critical insight into contemporary practice and exhibition contexts. To conclude, learners will present their work in a London gallery, gaining valuable experience of professional exhibition standards and public presentation.

Support and feedback will be tailored to your existing experience and personal creative ambitions. This course is not suitable for beginners.

Please note: Materials are not included in the course fee. We recommend reading the full course description under “More details” before enrolling.
