This free bitesize workshop will help you build confidence and develop effective interview skills and techniques. Your specialist Employability Tutor will support you in preparing for interviews, answering common questions, presenting yourself professionally, and improving your overall performance so you feel ready and confident on the day.

Not suitable for beginners to computing. Mouse and keyboard skills are required.

No qualification is attached to this course but an in-house certificate of completion is available on request.

Each week, we will explore techniques to help you perform at your best. You will have the opportunity to practice with others, in a safe place, so you identify what makes you most nervous and how to shape your answers to meet expectations.

Can I join late?
Yes, by agreement with the tutor.

Who is the course for?
This course is for anyone who has an interest in improving their CV, their job search or their confidence when performing in interviews.

Do I need prior knowledge or experience?
No, everybody is welcome whether starting to look for work or an expreienced job applicant. Even if you are very nervous about joining, we look forward to having you on board!

How will I learn?
A practical course with a mixture of one to one and small group tuition, demonstration, discussion and questions and answers.

How will my progress be assessed?
You will be assessed informally by your tutor, as part of normal classroom activities. There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor.

Is there an external qualification?
No, this is an non-accredited course

What can I do next?

We hope that our techniques help you secure your dream job during or soon after the course. However, if you would like more time to explore your options, we offer a range of additional courses to help you further develop your skills, please see our website for full details.

We also run a free weekly digital drop-in session, where you can receive extra support with your job search.

In addition, we can support you in improving your Maths and English skills, including preparation for GCSEs, and we offer a variety of free digital skills courses.

Something for you to take notes with - pen and paper, or electronic devices (such as a phone or tablet).

Are there any extra costs?
No

Is there work between sessions?
It is useful to practise between sessions.
