This practical and enjoyable workshop explores drawing and illustrating London's famous landmarks and urban spaces. Learners will develop observation, sketching and composition skills while creating their own creative cityscape
artwork. Through a series of guided exercises, participants will learn how to simplify buildings into shapes, create depth and perspective, and add personal style to their drawings.
Suitable for beginners and those with some drawing experience, the course encourages confidence, creativity and visual storytelling.
Please note: This course is 10.00am-3.30pm with a one hour lunch break.

On this course you will:
Develop observational drawing skills using photographs and reference materials.
Learn techniques for drawing buildings, landmarks and architectural details.
Understand basic perspective, composition and visual storytelling.
Produce a finished illustrated cityscape inspired by London.

Who is the course for?
This course is suitable for beginners. You should be able to understand verbal and written instructions, demonstrations, handouts, and health and safety guidelines. You may also be expected to take brief notes for personal reference and actively participate in group discussions.
Do I need prior knowledge or experience?
No previous experience required. Suitable for complete beginners and learners wishing to build confidence in drawing.
How will I learn?
Demonstration-led, highly visual and supportive workshop with step-by-step guidance, practical exercises, individual feedback and creative experimentation.
How will my progress be assessed?
This is a non accredited course. Learning will be assessed through observation, discussion, sketchbook exercises and completion of a final cityscape illustration. Learners will receive informal tutor feedback throughout the workshop.
